Warren R. Lacey, 71, of Downsville, passed away March 27, 2024.
Warren was born July 4, 1952, to the late John A. Lacey and Theda F. Baxter (Lacey).
Warren grew up in Corbett. He was a construction worker and driller. He enjoyed model car building and carpentry. He also enjoyed the outdoor life, going hunting and fishing with his son, John, or anyone who wanted to come along. He enjoyed living a simple life, content with what he had. Warren always could be found where family and friends gathered. He found enjoyment attending local classic car shows and stock car races. He enjoyed woodworking and turning wrenches.
Warren worked and lived in West Virginia, California, and Florida and then completed his journey back to his home state New York. Warren was the best night watchman his mother could have asked for.
Warren is survived by his loving family, children John (Shannon) Lacey, Nicole (Rhett) Dickens, Warren K. (Crystal) Lacey, and Raymond Lacey; his twin brother Wallace Lacey and brother Walter Lacey; and sisters Pam Homovich and Sheila Birch. Also, his grandchildren John A. Lacey, Savannah Lacey, Patrick Lacey, Nova Dickens, Riley Dickens, Tristan Lacey, Mercedes Bliler, and Damon Bliler, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Warren was predeceased by both of his parents, John A. Lacey and Theda F. Lacey, and his sister Beverly Houck.
A graveside service will take place at Paige Cemetery in Downsville at a later date to be announced.
