Tex Hofsdal

Tex Hofsdal, 77, of Delhi, passed away early Saturday morning, Dec. 10, 2022, at the Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown. 

Born Feb. 8, 1945, in Andes, Tex was the son of the late Arne and Mabel (Ingram) Hofsdal. 

Mr. Hofsdal proudly served in the U.S. Airforce during the Vietnam War. 

Tex was employed for several years by the Delaware County Highway Department until his retirement as a general foreman. 

He enjoyed woodworking, traveling with his wife, going to casinos, and playing scratch-off games. In his younger years Tex was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. 

Besides his parents, Tex was predeceased by his brothers Jack, Christ and Roger. 

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Linda (Meres) Hofsdal of Delhi; sons Barry (Lori) Hofsdal of Chittenango; David (Melissa) Hofsdal of Tucson, Ariz., Kevin Hofsdal of Stamford and Mathew (Rebecca) Hofsdal of Hampton, Va.; grandchildren Samantha, Angela, Thomas, Dreana, Kelsie, Kendra, Hannah, Madison, Sean and Cheyanne; great-grandchildren Aiden, Sakura, Anabelle, Able, Ariya and Adrian; brother Ronnie Hofsdal of Andes; sister-in-law Cheryl Hofsdal of Andes; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Delhi. A graveside service with full military honors will be held in the spring at Pinegrove Cemetery, Meridale.
