Richard (Dick) Bartz died Dec. 11, 2022. Richard was born in Coventry on Sept. 7, 1932.
He is predeceased by his parents, Reverend William and Lulu Bartz, his brother Stanley Bartz, and his sisters Dorothy Webb and Elizabeth Brown.
Dick is survived by his wife of 70 years, Margaret (Peg) Bartz, and his children Diane (Keith) Olivet, Patricia (John) Gorman, Susan (George) Willis and William (Roxy) Bartz, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Dick was an active member of the United Presbyterian Church of Walton since 1960. He was a 35 year employee of Kraft (Breakstones) and had a love for farming and woodworking. He also worked part time for Warren Peck and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed help.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 17, at the United Presbyterian Church, 58 East Street, Walton. Calling hours will be at 1 p.m. at the church and the funeral service at 2 p.m. A coffee hour will follow the service in the church’s fellowship room.

Burial will be in the Walton Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Dick’s name to the United Presbyterian Church Buildings and Grounds Committee, 58 East Street, Walton, NY, 13856. Checks should be made out to Walton U.P. Church, with B & G, Dick Bartz in the memo line.
