Marilyn Edith Bowker Walley, 79, of Walton passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022 at Fox Hospital in Oneonta, following a long illness. 

Marilyn was born on Oct. 13, 1942 in Campbell, Mo., the daughter of the late Aye Franklin and Edith (Polsgrove) Corder. She was married to Paul “Pete” W. Bowker in Pennsylvania in 1963. He predeceased her Aug. 18, 1992. On March 12, 1993 she married Harland Walley in Walton; he died on Aug. 2, 2013. 

Marilyn was employed for many years for Delaware County Infirmary in Delhi, first as a nurses aide then as a physical therapy aide. Marilyn enjoyed sewing and tending to her flower gardens, but her greatest joy was taking care of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching the wildlife around her home, and the birds feeding outside her dining room window. 

Marilyn is survived by her loving family, her son and daughter-in-law Anthony and Cindy Jump of Franklin, stepchildren Sharleen Todack of Endicott, Connie Hulse of Sidney, Sandra Jones of Morris, Harland (Victoria) Walley Jr. of Morris, Joseph (Wendy) Walley of Mt. Upton, and son-in-law Gary Enck of Cooperstown; grandchildren Thomas, Elizabeth, Adam and Olivia; step-grandchildren Merle, Jimmy, Jordan, Ashley, Jeffery, Brad, Michael, Kim, Brian, Eulanda, Alex, Bobbi-Jo, Eric, Shawn, Shannon and Heath, and numerous great-grandchildren, sisters and brothers-in-law Glenda and Carlos Hicks, Poplar Bluff, Mo., Sandra and Ben Johnson of Dayton, Ohio, brothers and sisters-in-law Donald and Nina Corder of Shreveport, La., Darrell and Pat Corder of Beloit, Wisc., Anderson and Dale Corder of St. Charles, Mo., special friends Linda Tennant and Peggy Miglianti. 

She was predeceased by her husbands, daughters Sheryl Hickson and Laurie Enck, stepson Keith Bowker, brothers Frank Corder, Bobby Corder and Connie Corder, grandson, Shawn Bowker and step-grandchildren Justin and Joe Jr. 

A graveside service was held Monday, Aug. 15, at 1 p.m. at Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton, with Rev. Bert More, officiating. 

Arrangements are under the direction of the Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
