Kenneth (Ken) W. Budine Jr., passed away peacefully at home Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023. He was born Sept. 25, 1940, to Kenneth Sr. and Valdia Budine of Walton. Ken is survived by his wife, Joan, children Tammy, Jayne, Mariah, Brendan, David and Siobhan, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister Pennee Horth.
Ken grew up in Walton. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1956-1960. He was a dedicated lineman with the Delaware County Electric Coop in Delhi for many years. He continued this career path in Sherburne, retiring from the Oneida Madison REA.
Ken had many hobbies which included tinkering with his beloved cars, hunting and participating in the Walton derby with Cousin Stan every year, and spending time with great friends like Dean and Barb Daniels.
He also had a lifelong passion for rescuing animals and gardening, which he did on a regular basis.
He will be truly missed by his family.
Burial services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Burke Memorial Park, Morganton, N.C.
