Jeffrey Michael Rosa, 60, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 6, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous journey with a prolonged illness.

Jeff was born on Aug. 5, 1963 to Peter and Linda (Ackerley) Rosa of Bovina. Jeff grew up in Bovina on Pink Street and had shared many fond memories of working on local farms. Jeff attended South Kortright Central School where he was a part of the school band and chorus and enjoyed playing basketball for the South Kortright Rams. Jeff graduated from South Kortright in 1981 and continued his education at Alfred State College and Binghamton University receiving degrees from both schools in electrical engineering. Jeff held many years of employment at Amphenol Interconnect Corporation and Lockheed Martin. 

Jeff married Lisa Nicholson in 1987 in Oneonta, after being introduced to Lisa by his sister Kathy. The pair went on to have two children together - Nicholas and Alyssa. Jeff enjoyed camping with his family at Old Forge and Little Pond. He enjoyed hunting and spending time making memories with his siblings, cousins, and friends. Most recently, the joy of Jeff’s life was holding his grandson Mason, who always brought him a smile. 

Jeff is predeceased by his parents Peter and Linda (Ackerley) Rosa and his sister Kathy Rosa.

Jeff is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Lisa (Nicholson) Rosa of Endicott, his children Nicholas Rosa of Vestal, and Alyssa (Adam) Cox of Vestal, grandson Mason Cox, brother Doug (Mary) Rosa of Delhi, nieces Haley and Brandy Rosa, brother-in-law Robert (Stephanie) Nicholson, nephew Matt Nicholson, sister-in-law Mary Nicholson, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Jeff will be remembered by his family for his contagious smile and laughter, his bright blue eyes, his love for ice cream, his entertaining bird calls, among many other amusing characteristics. At Jeff’s request, there will be no formal services. The family will hold a private service followed by a celebration of Jeff’s life at a later date.
