David J. Bishop, 39, of Afton passed unexpectedly at his home.
He was born Oct. 6, 1982, son of late L.J. “Skip” Bishop, and Deborah (Van Valkenburg) Bishop in Sidney.
Dave attended Bainbridge-Guilford High School and was an avid sports fan. He was encyclopedia of sports trivia.
He loved his San Francisco 49ers, and Chicago Bulls.
David loved spending his time listening to music, riding his four wheeler, and just having fun.
He is survived by his brother Gerald Moore, uncle Ron Van Valkenburg and good friend, Edwin MacDermott, Bainbridge.
David was predeceased by his grandparents, June and Virginia (Lilley) Van Valkenburg.
Graveside service were held Tuesday, July 12, in Highland Cemetery in Sidney Center with Rev. Fred Albrecht officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of CH Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street, Sidney.
