Timothy Lane Robinson Sr., 68, of Franklin, died at home on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021.

He was born on June 28, 1952 in Sidney, the son of Gerald and Louise (Hartwell) Robinson.

Tim owned and operated L. Robinson Excavating in Franklin for many years.

When he wasn’t working, Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing with his grandchildren, bossing his boys around, “checking on the girls,” auctioneering for SCI and National Wild Turkey Federation, visiting local diners, talking politics, playing cards with his friends, butchering, and going to pancake breakfasts.

He was a part of the Delaware County Demolition Derby for 52 years.

He is survived by his children, Camie (Dean) Daniels, Timothy Jr. (Missy) Robinson, Julie (Josh) Conrow, Tara (Pete) Robinson, and Zachary (Kathryn) Robinson; his grandchildren (who enjoyed playing jokes on him): Logan, Benjamin, Caleb, Jonathan, Nathan, Ceara, Jayle, Kohler, Hayden, Lilly, Max, Brooke, and baby; his special aunt, Tine; his sister Chris Esolen, his brothers Doug (Liset) Robinson, and Rick (Lori) Robinson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends; and his best pal Sophie dog!

He was predeceased by his parents special grandparents, Bertha and Lloyd Hartwell, and Febe and Leon Robinson.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, Jan. 7 at the Kenneth L. Bennett Funeral Home, 425 Main Street, Franklin, from 5 to 8 p.m. Be courteous to others and maintain social distancing protocols when waiting in line to enter.

Burial will take place in the spring in Ouleout Valley Cemetery, Franklin.
