Allan Glenford Donnelly, 73, formerly of Rochester, passed away on April 12, 2024 at his home in Salisbury, North Carolina, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Nov. 19, 1950, to Eleanor and Allan Donnelly. He worked for over 30 years for Kodak Eastman before moving and retiring to North Carolina. Allan loved big, his wife, family and any event he was involved in. He was an accomplished skier, a skill he taught to all of his children. He was a member of the ski patrol at Swaim and Hollymont Ski Resorts.

With his unwavering positive outlook on life, sense of humor and mechanical aptitude, Al could fix anything; we just wish he were still here to fix our broken hearts. There wasn’t a project he could not finish and was always helping friends and family with whatever handyman job needed to be done. Since moving to North Carolina, he loved his boat and the lake and sharing that joy with everyone.

He was preceded in death by his father Allan Donnelly and sister Cassandra Donnelly.

He is survived by his mother Eleanor Donnelly, wife Michelle Donnelly, children Allan Donnelly (Frank), Elizabeth Donnelly, John Winters (Terran), Michaela Donnelly (Ian), Ian Winters, Connor Winters, Collin Donnelly, Julia Winters and Allania Donnelly; grandchildren Taylor Donnelly, Charles Winters and Andrew Winters; siblings Janet Champlin (Tom), Laurie Bradshaw (Mike), Thomas Donnelly (Virginia), Patricia Preimats (Peter).

A visitation to celebrate Al’s life with family and friends will be held at Peter & Pat Preimats home at 1405 Heathcliff Road, High Point, North Carolina, Saturday, April 20 from 1 – 3 p.m.
