Remembering the life of Robert G. Jensen (Bob) of Downsville, who passed away on Feb. 14, 2021 at the MI Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown. He was 88.
The son of the late Otto and Alice Jensen, he was born Nov. 16, 1932 in Rutherford, N.J.
He was a devoted father to his four sons, and a beloved father-in-law, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Bob had been a member of the Passaic County Carpenters Union Local 124 before retiring and moving to the Catskills. He was an avid bowhunter and throughout his life enjoyed many hunting trips with family and friends. Bob was a friend to everyone on the mountain.
He was predeceased by his wife, Hilary.
He is survived by his four boys, Robert Jensen Jr. and wife, Denise; Brian Jensen and wife, Susan; Bruce Jensen and wife, Joyce; and John Jensen; two grandchildren, Melinda Jensen and Gregory Jensen; and great-granddaughter, Daisy Hilary. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Memorial services will be private.
