The current situation in our country is one in which just a small group of very rich and powerful people are controlling our government. The wealth disparity, along with the corruption and lies, has never been greater. The future of our democracy is at stake.
The vast majority of Americans, both Republicans and Democrats, want the same things: affordable healthcare, housing, and utilities; good education; safe food; clean air and water; and so on - really everyones’ basic necessities. Our current administration is only interested in obtaining more money and power for themselves. Since local and state elections affect what happens on the national level, we need to vote out of power those elected officials who support and enable what’s happening in Washington.
In the not too distant past the Republicans and Democrats were fairly close in ideology. Those Republicans are being lost.
We need two or more good parties to maintain oversight of our political system, and to work out their differences so that the majority of people benefit. We need to clear out this destructive government and reorganize politically for a new, and better, future. Life has always been best in a democracy. Let’s not lose this one. Please vote carefully.
