Kenneth H. Johnston, 79, of N. Sanford Road, Deposit, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at his home.
Kenneth was predeceased by his parents Kenneth Earl and Ruth (Birch) Johnston.
He is survived by the love of his life Janet M. (Backus) Johnston and combined families: children Daryl and Debbie Johnston, Brian and Cindy Johnston, Scott and Brittany Johnston, Timothy and Ann Schmitz, Thomas and Lynette Schmitz, Torrance and Melissa Schmitz, William and Jennifer Schmitz, Tina Owens, Christine and Tracy Martin; grandchildren Kenny and Justin Johnston, Angela and Michael Mercado, Jennifer and Mitchell Johnston, Lilly, Lorissa, Emily, and Bryson Johnston, Jeffrey, Shane, Nikki, Devin, Korie, and Cody Schmitz, Mark Gallo, Tyson, Melissa, and McKenzie Martin; great-grandchildren Kolton, Ava, Jackson, Jameson, and Jasper Johnston, Qa’Dir, and John Mercado, Aubrey, Zander, and Kinsley Mercado, Kyleigh, Shawn, Leah, and Layne Schmitz, Teigan Space, Autumn and Chloe Martin.
Kenny owned his own truck and was always fixing and washing it. He drove many years of his life and loved it. He was very giving and easy going. He enjoyed Florida as it was very warm. Kenny took great-grandchildren on camping trips and never complained. He was a 1960 Deposit Central School graduate.
Family was our life, and he loved family get-togethers. We will miss him a lot. Rest in peace, till we meet again.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at later date. Memorial donations may be made in Kenneth’s name to Eastern Broome Emergency Services, PO Box 434 Windsor, NY 13865.
