Kathleen D. Stryker passed away at home on Jan. 13, 2022, after a brief illness. She was 75.
Kathy is survived by her husband Gary; two sons, Gary (wife Charlene) and Richard; a brother, Joseph and a sister Maria; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and more recently by her brother, Roy.
Married more than 50 years, Kathy and her husband began their life together in Staten Island. They and their sons relocated to Morris in the 1980s and have since been a part of the Oneonta community.
Kathy was an active member of St. Mary’s Church and loved to participate in the planning, decorating, and cooking for church activities. Her love of cooking was evident when her popular event dishes of eggplant parmigiana and sausage and peppers were always without leftovers. Her giving nature and caring personality will be sorely missed.
Calling hours for Kathleen were held Sunday, Jan. 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand Street, Oneonta. A funeral mass occurred Monday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m. at St Mary’s Church, 39 Walnut Street, Oneonta.
