I’d like to commend you and your reporter, Elizabeth DeFalco, for the very informative article about the money being spent on three DelCo DPW projects. Her precise accounting of the expenditures to date bring to light an interesting question though. If $10,248.82 was spent on “county personnel” for the Delhi building, then do those funds that were allocated in the overall budget get credited back to the county, or are these county personnel getting paid twice? It seems that if they’re getting paid their regular wages for their daily jobs, then why would their costs be bundled into the total expense of the building? This is the same situation for the buildings in Walton and I’m sure in Bloomville as well.
It seems that we could use some clarification on this matter.
