A group of Girl Scout volunteers and troops from across Delaware County were recently honored by the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways council for their exceptional service and commitment to youth leadership.

Service Unit 350, based in Delhi, received the President’s Award, recognizing the team’s achievement in exceeding unit goals and significantly advancing council-wide objectives.

Several volunteers earned individual accolades for their contributions across multiple communities. Katie Palm, of Delhi, and Penny Harageones, of Delancey, received the Honor Pin for outstanding service to more than one service unit.

The Rising Star Award, given to first- or second-year volunteers making an immediate impact, went to Asia Gressler and Arlene Utter, both of Walton; Ashley Lakin, of Trout Creek; and Amanda Prevost, of Delhi.

Laura Mills, of Delhi, was honored with the Spirit Award for her behind-the-scenes support of fellow volunteers and troops.

The Trefoil Award, which acknowledges exceptional teamwork, was awarded to the co-leaders of Troops 30022 and 61045, both based in Delhi.

For their direct contributions to delivering the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, Darlene Conklin and Mary Phraner, both of Walton, and Carrie Fishner, of Delhi, received the Volunteer of Excellence award.

Amanda Prevost, in addition to her Rising Star recognition, was acknowledged for her years of membership with the Membership Numeral Guard award.

Longstanding commitment was also recognized with Volunteer Service Pins: Jenny Woodberry, of Deposit, for 10 years of service, and Penny Harageones, marking two decades of volunteer leadership.

The awards reflect the continued strength and dedication of the Girl Scout community in the region, council officials said.
