County roadwork planned through July 28

Posted

Road resurfacing with oil and stone will take place in the northern portion of Delaware County beginning Monday, July 10. The work will begin on county Route 16 and then move to Routes 14, 18, and 33. Work will then move south to Route 22, and finish with Route 23.

Work is expected to take approximately three to four weeks depending on the weather. The traveling public should use extreme caution on these roads and should expect significant delays during work periods. Suggested reduced speed limits will be posted for the roads as the process will create loose stones that can be thrown and cause damage at normal speeds. Motorists are encouraged to slow down.
