DELHI — As artificial intelligence reshapes the global economy, a local nonprofit is working to ensure that small businesses in rural upstate New York are not left behind.
On Thursday, June 26, the Western Catskills Community Revitalization Council will host a free workshop titled “AI for Small Business,” aimed at helping entrepreneurs and local business owners understand and adopt emerging technologies. The 90-minute session will take place at the Thomson Center at 5½ Main Street in Delhi, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Led by Greg Chanese, a business advisor with the University at Albany’s Small Business Development Center, the workshop will offer an introduction to AI fundamentals, its practical applications for small enterprises, the implications of copyright law, and projections on how automation could shape the future of work.
Participants will receive guidance on integrating AI tools into daily operations—along with a frank discussion of associated risks.
Chanese, whose expertise includes marketing, financial projections, and e-commerce strategies, has recently focused on helping small businesses navigate digital transformation.
