WALTON - The Delaware County Firefighters’ Association presented awards in the 2023 Delaware County Fair Heroes Parade held Tuesday, Aug. 15.

• Most in Line Marching: Wells Bridge Fire Department
• Best Dress Uniforms: first place, Franklin Fire Department; second place, Delhi Fire Department; third place, Walton Fire Department
• Best Sport Uniforms: first place, Wells Bridge Fire Department; second place, Andes Fire Department, third place, Bovina Fire Department
• Best Appearing Ladies Auxiliary: Sidney Center Ladies Auxiliary
• Best Appearing Apparatus: first place, Walton Fire Department; second place, Hobart Fire Department; third place Grand Gorge Fire Department
• Best Appearing Group (Non Fire): Catskill Dance Moves
• Best Appearing Float: Delaware County Dairy Ambassadors
• Oldest Piece of Apparatus: Tie between Sidney and Walton Fire Departments, both with 1929 apparatuses.
