The Delaware County Youth Bureau employs up to 38 youth throughout Delaware County every summer through its Summer Youth Employment Program.
There are two positions available to youth age 14 – 21 in the following towns: Andes, Bovina, Colchester, Davenport, Delhi, Deposit, Franklin, Hamden, Hancock, Harpersfield, Kortright, Masonville, Meredith, Middletown, Roxbury, Sidney, Stamford, Tompkins and Walton. Youth should contact their town supervisor’s office for information on what positions are available and how to apply.
In addition, there are a limited number of positions for TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) eligible youth between 14 and 20. Youth whose family receives SNAP, HEAP, Public Assistance, or Medicaid are automatically eligible for employment with TANF funds. Youth whose family does not receive any of the above funding but who are income eligible are also eligible. Positions will be filled on a first come, first served basis until all spots are filled. A TANF application must be completed to determine eligibility.
