It’s West Kortright Center’s 50th birthday. To celebrate there will be a free community party to honor the past, look to the future, and dance until the cows come home. Bring WKC pictures, memories, your favorite vintage WKC merch, and your dancing shoes to help celebrate the past 50 years and make new memories for the decades to come.
Music will be brought to us by the Big Takeover. Fronted by Jamaican-born singer and songwriter Nee Nee Rushie, the seven-piece New York band plays original music rooted in and reverent toward the genres and rhythms of Jamaican pop: reggae, rocksteady and ska.
