Western Catskills Community Revitalization Council to Host Entrepreneurship Boot Camp

MARGARETVILLE - The Western Catskills Community Revitalization Council will host its annual Entrepreneurship Boot Camp from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the MTC Conference Room, 61 Academy Street, Margaretville.

The $25 registration fee includes lunch and refreshments. The program is partially funded by New York State Homes and Community Renewal and the Robinson Broadhurst Foundation.

The boot camp will cover topics including business formation, insurance and risk management, marketing and branding, business plans, bookkeeping and accounting, and human resources. The program also will include a funding panel, working groups and case studies.

Josiah Brown of Famous Destination Marketing will deliver the keynote address.

Presenters include representatives from the Small Business Development Center, New York State Department of Labor, Delaware County Economic Development, Catskill Watershed Corporation, Greene and Schoharie county economic development agencies, area banks, NBT Insurance Agency, MARK Project, GrowthWheel International and Western Catskills Community Revitalization Council.

The boot camp will be followed by a half-day training session Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the WCCRC Community Room in Stamford for startups interested in applying for the Delaware County Microenterprise Grant.
