Walton Water District: Conserve Water

Posted

WALTON - Village of Walton officials are urging water district users to conserve water. Walton Mayor Ed Snow reported that  on Monday, Aug. 15 aquifer sensors, which supply the village’s water, alerted village Department of Public Works staff to low water levels.

There is no boil advisory, Snow said. Instead, the village would like residents and businesses to voluntarily conserve water by not washing vehicles or watering lawns, while awaiting the refilling of the water table.

People can also conserve water by taking shorter showers and consolidating loads of laundry, Snow recommended.

The village will continue to monitor water levels, Snow said.
