WALTON - The Walton Central School District will present a series of spring concerts over the coming weeks, showcasing student musicians from the elementary, middle and high school levels.
All performances will take place in the high school auditorium and are free and open to the public.
The high school concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, May 14, and will feature the symphonic orchestra and high school chorus under the direction of Rebekah Doig, along with the high school band directed by Meaghan Lawrence. The evening will also include a reunion performance by select chorus alumni led by Theresa Bolton.
Townsend Elementary students will perform at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 19. The program includes the fifth-grade chorus and beginning and advanced bands directed by Bolton, as well as the fourth-grade chorus and orchestra under the direction of Giancarlo Sidoli.
The concert series concludes with the middle school performance at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28. Featured ensembles include the middle school chorus and orchestra directed by Doig, along with the sixth-grade band and the seventh- and eighth-grade bands conducted by Lawrence.
