WALTON - In February, Walton Police conducted 11 welfare checks, 10 property checks, responded to two civil issues, three mental health issues, two animal complaints, seven bus details, five suspicious persons reports, and five assists to motorists, among other activity. The department received 36 complaints and made three misdemeanor arrests and three felony arrests which included attempted petit larceny, official misconduct, second-degree criminal contempt, dissemination of indecent material to minors, third-degree burglary and destruction/concealment of physical evidence.
Police issued 10 parking tickets and eight traffic summonses and assisted other agencies 13 times.
