WALTON - Walton’s Delaware Street was lined with spectators for the annual Christmas parade, held Friday, Nov. 29, sponsored by the Walton Lions Club.
Various floats and marchers, including Girl and Boy Scouts, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Walton FFA members, the Walton Central School marching band and a variety of businesses heralded in the holiday season. The parade concluded at Veterans Plaza where a tree-lighting ceremony was held. Festivities continued Saturday, Nov. 30 with the Walton Chamber of Commerce’s annual “Spend the Day in Walton” event that coincides with the national “Shop Small” campaign to encourage people to support local businesses.
