Delhi:
Monday, Nov. 10 – Delaware Academy Central School will host its annual Veterans Day assembly which will begin at 8:15 a.m. with breakfast provided. After breakfast, at 8:50 a.m. the assembly will begin with student performances by the high school, middle school, and elementary school students.
Tuesday, Nov. 11 – SUNY Delhi Veterans Day celebration will be held at 3 p.m. at the Okun Theatre in the Farrell Center at SUNY Delhi.
Downsville:
Tuesday, Nov. 11 – Legion Post 167 will hold a Veterans Day event at the Colchester Community Church Monument starting at 11 a.m. on Main Street.
Franklin:
Friday, Nov. 7 - Franklin Central School will host a Veteran’s Day celebration to honor the community Nov. 7. The breakfast for veterans starts at 8:15 a.m. and the program starts at 9:15.
Sidney:
Tuesday, Nov. 11 – Sidney Veterans of Foreign (VFW) Wars Veterans Day event with meal to follow starting at 6 p.m. at the Sidney VFW Post 7914, 133 West Main Street, Sidney.
Walton:
Monday, Nov. 10 – Townsend Elementary in Walton will host a Veterans Day celebration with songs, discussions, and light refreshments starting at 9 a.m. RSVP by calling 607-865-5220.
Tuesday, Nov. 11 – Parade forms on Gardiner Place at 10:30 a.m.; at approximately 10:50 a.m. participants will march to the World War II Memorial in front of the Castle on the Delaware on Stockton Avenue, where a ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. After the parade a lunch for those participating will be held at Walton Veterans Club, Park Street, Walton hosted by Legion Post 32. Free to parade participants; others are asked to make freewill donations.
Unadilla:
The Unatego Elementary School will have a Veterans Day breakfast and assembly Monday, Nov. 10 to honor local Veterans who have a connection to elementary students, facility, and staff at the school.
