UNADILLA — The Unadilla Public Library will continue its summer programming through August with weekly storytimes, educational presentations, live entertainment and a community movie day.

The library’s Summer Reading Program storytime will be held every Thursday through Aug. 27 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the library, 193 Main St. Designed primarily for children from birth through age 7, the program is open to all ages and includes a craft following each storytime session.

A series of special afternoon programs will begin Thursday, Aug. 6, at 1 p.m. with a presentation by REPCO Wildlife, featuring reptiles from around the world. The program will be held at the library unless rain requires it to move to the gymnasium at Unatego Elementary School, 265 Main St.

The New York State Police Troop C K-9 Unit will present a demonstration Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 1 p.m. at the library. In the event of rain, the program will also move to the Unatego Elementary School gym.

Magician Ryan Bliss will perform Thursday, Aug. 13, at 1 p.m. at the library. The performance will relocate to the elementary school gym if weather conditions require.

Music fans can attend a performance by pianist and vocalist Jay Daniels on Monday, Aug. 17, at 6 p.m. Daniels will present “Piano Man,” a tribute featuring the music of Billy Joel and Elton John. The concert is scheduled for the library but will move to the pavilion at Main and Depot streets if rain is forecast.

The library will conclude its August programming with Movie Day on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 11 a.m. The featured film will be announced on the library’s Facebook page during the week of the event.

For weather-related venue changes and additional program information, attendees are encouraged to check the Unadilla Public Library’s Facebook page on the day of each event.
