UHS Delaware Valley Hospital board member honored

A contingent of UHS Delaware Valley Hospital Board members and senior leaders from both the UHS system and UHS Delaware Valley Hospital attended the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce awards dinner in recognition and appreciation of Ed Snow, Delaware Valley Hospital Board Secretary, and mayor of the village of Walton. Snow was honored with the Community Connector Award for his work in boosting the business climate in Walton.

In presenting the award, Ray Pucci, chamber president, said, “Spend five minutes with Mayor Ed Snow and you’ll realize he loves his community. He is simply the most recognizable person in the village of Walton. His passion is clearly Walton and creating new economic opportunities. He lives the chamber’s vision that “thriving communities start with prosperous businesses. He connects businesses with the resources needed to open and grow. His recent election as a director of the Coalition of Watershed Towns gives all business owners an effective voice.”  Since 2021, 15 new businesses have come to Walton, and some additional are in the planning and/or renovation stage. 

When accepting the award, Snow said it was a team effort and credited village employees and community organizations and members who work with him to help bring businesses to Walton.
