Track: Section IV “Add On” Invitational 2025

CORTLAND - The Section IV Add On Invitational was held Saturday, Feb. 1 with area teams including Bainbridge-Guilford, Deposit/Hancock and Unadilla Valley competing.

Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton

Girls

Makayla McCloud sprinted to second place in the 55-meter dash (7.63), while Emily Sprow secured second in the triple jump (31-3.75) and fifth in the 55-meter hurdles (9.99). Olivia Hall took third in the 1500-meter race walk (9:28.55), and Maddie Ingham placed third in the 1000-meter run (3:15.55) and fourth in the 600-meter run (1:53.64). Appalonia Bushaw finished fifth in both the high jump (4-7) and the 300-meter dash (48.06).

Boys

Connor Davy led the way, winning the 55-meter dash (6.63). Harpo Hardt secured third in the triple jump (39-6.25), and Thomas Joyce placed fifth in the 300-meter dash (39.32). Brock Porter also claimed fifth in the 600-meter run (1:35.71). Matthew Wombacker finished sixth in the pole vault (8-6), while Jeremiah Santiago took eighth in the shot put (32-10).

Several athletes, including Nolan Foster, Jackari Garipoli, and Conner Rowe, posted season-best marks in their events.

Deposit/Hancock

Girls

Asher Shewring earned the team’s highest finish, placing 7th in the high jump at 4-2. Leah Wist finished 16th in the 55-meter dash (8.45), and Amanda Ray took 16th in the 1000-meter run (3:49.02). Natalie Williams placed 21st in the shot put (20-9).

On the boys’ side, Aden Vandermark posted the top individual finish, securing 14th in the 1000-meter run (3:11.91). Evan Madugno finished 14th in the high jump (5-0) and 30th in the 55-meter dash (7.70). Daniel Ray placed 11th in the triple jump (33-10.25).

Several athletes, including Kane Duhigg, Grant deGraw, Krystian Lee, and Evan Baudendistel, recorded season-best times or distances in their respective events.

Unadilla Valley

Girls

Natalya Schrag led the way, finishing sixth in the 600-meter run (1:55.01) and eighth in the 1000-meter run (3:27.56). Margaret Kemnah placed 14th in the 1500-meter run (6:21.15) and 15th in the 1000-meter run (3:49.01).

In the field events, Noelle Fernandez-Naughton secured 10th place in the long jump (13-3.5) and 17th in the 55-meter hurdles (11.32 SB). Alivia Plows placed 24th in the shot put (19-1).

Boys

Jacob Prentice delivered the best finish for Unadilla Valley, placing second in the 300-meter dash (38.11) and seventh in the 55-meter dash (7.05).
