Get ready for a pint-sized showdown at the 137th Delaware County Fair! On Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 11 a.m. in front of the Grandstands, kids aged 3-10 will take the wheel for the Power Wheels Derby competition. Divided into two age groups, 3-5 and 6-10 years, these young drivers will navigate their way to victory in their souped-up, 6 to 12-volt Power Wheels vehicles.
The rules are simple but essential for a safe and fun experience: no modifications for extra power or strength, no sharp edges, and all doors must be securely strapped. With balloons attached to their cars, the last three racers with inflated balloons will earn trophies for first, second, and third place. Safety is a top priority, with helmets and seat belts required.
Parents, remember: this event is all about fun! Let the kids enjoy the thrill of the derby, and be sure to pre-register to secure a spot. The entry fee is just $5, and the event promises to start promptly at 11 a.m. Join us for a morning of excitement and cheer on the little racers as they bump, crash, and race their way to glory!
