Teresa J. Pike, 63, of Elmira, a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at Faxton - St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford. She was born in Walton Aug. 30, 1960, a daughter of Edgar and Myrtle (Biggs) Holtslander. She was a graduate of O’Neil High School in Walton, and she attended BOCES where she received her CNA certification. She married Charles A. “Chuck” Pike.

Teresa worked as a CNA at the Hospital in Sidney, where she made countless friends through her compassion for helping others. She was an incredibly giving person who always put the needs of her family before herself. Teresa had an incredible heart that loved deeply for those closest to her. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Elmira.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Chuck; her children Rayne Pike of Afton, Autumne Pike (Jason Albertina) of Sherburne, and Dakota Pike of Afton; stepchildren Crystal (Gerald) Powers of Moravia, Christina (Kevin) Bennett of Mottville, and Douglass (Heidi) Pike of Cortland; her grandchildren Tristan Pike, Jayden Grant, Hannah Pike, Quiarrah Pike and Donovan Lema; siblings Bambi Holtslander and fiancé Michael Raciti of Clinton, Tina Richardson of Ohio, Edgar Holtslander Jr. (Sherry Linkroum), and William Holtslander, both of Bainbridge; her extended family, David (Joanne) McEntee of Hamden, half-brother Fred McEntee of Oneonta, half-sisters Tonia Moore of Oneonta and Tammie Holtslander of Binghamton, close friends who she considered her family Cory and Falon Denison of Elmira. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren, many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father Edgar, her mother Myrtle, her beloved daughter Noel Pike, and step-brothers Harold and Raymond McEntee.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 4 at 3 p.m. at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 South Main Street, Sherburne. Friends are invited and may call at the funeral home from 1-3, prior to the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to invite friends and family to a celebration of Teresa’s life following the service at 19 North Main Event Center, 19 North Main Street, Sherburne.
