It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Earl, 63, a beloved wife, sister friend, and cherished member of the Masonville community. Born on July 27, 1963, to her parents James and Maxine Northrup, Susan filled her years with kindness and a deep commitment to those around her. She left us on November 4, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.
Susan will be remembered for her years of dedicated service as a clerk at Eckerd’s Drug Store in Sidney, where her friendly demeanor and helpful spirit touched many lives. She had a knack for making people’s days a little brighter, whether it was through a warm smile or a thoughtful conversation.
Susan enjoyed long rides, family gatherings, and a smile always over a cup of coffee. She also enjoyed helping her husband with firewood, she decorated cakes and attended all family reunions. Susan loved visiting with her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Susan is survived by her beloved husband Douglas Earl of Masonville, her sisters; Sharon Harrington of Walton, Sandra Northrup of Walton, her brothers; Jerry (Debbie) Northrup of Unadilla, Thomas Northrup of Trout Creek, and her sister in-law Brenda Northrup of Bennettsville, NY. Susan is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Susan was predeceased by her parents James and Maxine Northrup, and her brother David Northrup.
A graveside service will be private for immediate family and will be held at the Walton Cemetery located at 55 Fancher Ave, NY 13856. We invite all who knew and loved Susan to join us in sharing stories and remembering the incredible person she was.
