Still Life Photography at Headwaters Art Center Oct. 5

Learn the basics of still life and tabletop photography with photographer Peter Pioppo on Saturday Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Headwaters Arts Center, 66 Main St., Stamford. This informal, hands-on workshop with photographer Peter Pioppo will cover the basics skills for any type of successful image capture. Bring your own camera, be it a smartphone, aim and shoot or a full size professional camera and lear tricks and techniques that will help you make intentional images rather than simply “take a picture”. All levels are welcome and encouraged to join. Registration for this workshop is $25 and available at roxburyartsgroup.org. 

Instructor Peter Pioppo has built a unique career working with the most recognizable names in the culinary and beverage worlds, innovating ways to turn transient consumables into distinctive packaging, high-impact advertising and groundbreaking art. His inimitable style has brought him numerous awards, including a Golden Clio. His photography has been featured in Food Arts, New York magazine, The New York Times, and Bon Appetit. Commercial clients have included practically every major producer of food in America, and he has photographed hundreds of products for Greenway, Wholesome Goodness, Edy’s/Dreyers, Ben & Jerry’s and Turkey Hill Dairy, as well as work for Nestlé and Cointreau.
