Stamford: string quartet May 19

On Sunday, May 19 at 3 p.m., Friends of Music of Stamford continues its 2024 season of world-class chamber music with a performance by the Verona Quartet, featuring Jonathan Ong (violin), Dorothy Ro (violin), Abigail Rojansky (viola), and Jonathan Dormand (cello). The Quartet’s members represent four different nations, with their cultural cooperation and cohesiveness earning the group a reputation as one of the most distinguished ensembles on the chamber music scene today. For its Stamford engagement, the quartet will play String Quartet No. 1 in E-flat Major, Op. 12 by Felix Mendelssohn, String Quartet No. 4 by Grayna Bacewicz, and String Quartet No. 15 in A minor, Op. 132 by Ludwig van Beethoven.

This event is hosted by the First Presbyterian Church at 96 Main Street, Stamford. Admission is by donation at the door; the suggested donation is $15 per person, $10 for seniors & students.
