Stamford: Monthly Business Workshop Series Ahead of Entrepreneurship Boot Camp

STAMFORD — Entrepreneurs, aspiring business owners and small-business operators will have an opportunity to sharpen their skills through a new series of monthly workshops being offered by the Western Catskills Community Revitalization Council.

The organization announced that it will host business training sessions on the last Thursday of each month leading up to its annual Entrepreneurship Boot Camp, scheduled for October. Workshops will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the WCCRC Community Room at the Stamford Village Apartments building, 125 Main St.

The series is designed to provide practical instruction on topics commonly faced by small businesses and startups. Planned sessions will cover presentation software, branding and marketing, financial statements and projections, and the use of generative artificial intelligence tools in business operations.

The first workshop, “PowerPoint and Other Presentation Platforms,” will be held Thursday, June 25. Led by Simona David, the session will focus on slide design, incorporating images and audio, screen recordings, presentation delivery and creative transitions.

WCCRC officials said the workshops are intended to help participants build skills that can support business growth and prepare them for the more intensive Entrepreneurship Boot Camp later this year.

The program is being offered free of charge through funding provided by the Robinson-Broadhurst Foundation.

Registration is required. Interested participants may call 607-652-2823, ext. 102, or email sdavid@westerncatskills.org.
