ONEONTA - Due to continuing demand, Friends of the Feral-TNR will host a spay/neuter clinic for cat owners. Dr. Joan Puritz will perform the surgeries and administer rabies and distemper vaccinations. The clinic will be Sunday, Jan. 5 at 8 a.m. at 697 Winnie Hill Road, which runs off Chestnut Street in West End, Oneonta.
The fee is $75 per cat and the following limitations apply:
• One cat per carrier. If you do not have a carrier, it is your responsibility to borrow one.
• No cats in boxes, please.
• Cat must weigh not less than 4 pounds (1.9 kg). This is extremely important.
• Cat must be dropped off as close to 8 a.m. as possible. This is very important.
• Cats can be picked up between 2 and 5 p.m. depending on their recovery time from the anesthesia and the number of pets Dr. Puritz clinically treats.
• Payments can be cash or check made out to: Friends of the Feral-TNR
• Donations to Friends of the Feral-TNR are greatly in need and appreciated.
It’s imperative that whomever makes a reservation honors it. People who fail to show up may be required to leave a cash deposit to participate in the next clinic to be announced at a later date.
