Sidney Center Tractor Parade Set for Sept. 19

Posted

SIDNEY CENTER - The annual Sidney Center Tractor Parade will return Saturday, Sept. 19, celebrating the area’s agricultural heritage with a parade of tractors and other farm equipment.

The parade will begin at noon. The event will include entertainment, raffle prizes and a barbecue chicken dinner prepared by the Sidney Center Fire Department.

More than 100 tractors and other pieces of agricultural equipment participated in the 2025 parade, which is free for drivers. The parade committee describes the event as a celebration of the area’s dairy and farming heritage rather than a competition.

Proceeds from the event support local agricultural education and youth organizations. The committee has pledged to distribute 100% of net proceeds from this year’s parade to local agricultural organizations.

Donations from the 2025 parade supported agricultural education programs and youth organizations, including FFA chapters at Walton Delaware Academy, Sidney, Afton, Bainbridge-Guilford, Franklin Central Schools and DCMO BOCES, as well as the agriculture class at Townsend Elementary School and 4-H programs including Trail Pets 4-H in Walton and Bridle Buddies 4-H in Richmondville.

Community members who wish to contribute may make checks payable to the Sidney Center Fire Department and note “2026 Tractor Parade” on the check. Donations will be recognized on the event’s donation board.
