SIDNEY - Sidney baseball erupted for 13 runs in the first inning and never looked back, steamrolling Dryden 28–3 in a non-league matchup May 3.
The Sabers’ offense lit up the scoreboard early and often, led by Riley Finch who went 4-for-4 with 3 runs scored and 5 RBIs. Jaxen Swain chipped in with 2 hits, 2 runs and 4 RBIs, while Lucas Mott and Quinton Beckwith drove in three runs apiece. Elijah Wright crossed the plate four times in the lopsided win.
Austin Felzak earned the win for Sidney, striking out four over multiple innings of work as Sidney controlled all facets of the game.
