WATKINS GLEN — The Sidney Sabers saw their postseason run come to an end on Saturday, May 24, falling 2-0 to third-seeded Lansing in the second round of the Section IV Class B baseball tournament.
Despite a strong combined effort on the mound from Alex Secor and Elijah Wright, who limited the Bobcats to just four hits, the sixth-seeded Sabers couldn’t generate enough offense at the plate to advance.
Kaleb Monroe and Quinton Beckwith each recorded a hit for Sidney, but the team was otherwise held in check by Lansing pitching.
