The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office takes several measures to ensure a fun and safe fair experience - including the child ID card tent.
Parents and guardians can have an ID card made for their child which can include the child’s name, photo, address, date of birth, hair color, eye color and weight. The card is meant to be used in case of an emergency to make medical information and parents’ contact information easily accessible.
This service will be available Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The children’s information is not retained in any database, so it is important to keep the card in a safe and accessible location.
Along with the child ID card service, the sheriff’s office patrols the fairgrounds all week to help maintain a safe environment for all.
