On April 30, two Delaware County Sheriff’s Office corrections officers were promoted to the rank of corporal.
Corporal Tabor VanValkenburg joined the sheriff’s office in 2019, a graduate of the Delaware County Law Enforcement Academy. Corporal Trevor Cazzola joined the Sheriff’s Office in 2021, also a graduate of the Delaware County Law Enforcement Academy.
They are both certified as a corrections officers by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services and the Municipal Police Training Council.
Of the promotions Sheriff Craig DuMond said he was proud of the two staff members. “All of their hard work and dedication to date, has led them to this advancement in their careers as first line supervisors. I have the utmost confidence that both corporals will continue to excel in their new leadership roles, as they have previously demonstrated in their past responsibilities.”
