For a month over the summer, the West Kortright Center is dedicated to children and teen theater workshops focused on acting, costume making, composing music, stage building, and theater tech. We invite you to come and celebrate the talents of youth and Shakespeare when the workshop participants put on the 39th Shakespeare in the Valley performances on July 31 and Aug. 1.
Each evening begins at 6 p.m. with the play Second Stage Folies performed by the Introduction to Acting group. After the first performance, we will take a break for everyone to enjoy a picnic. Help us support the theater programs by purchasing food and drinks from the WKC concession stand.
At 8 p.m, the lights go up on a fully staged production of Measure for Measure.
Bring your own lawn seating. Rain or Shine.
We recommend that you purchase your tickets ahead of time to prevent long lines at the box office. (Tickets do not need to be printed.)
These are outdoor performances; tickets are $15 general admission, members receive a 10% discount, and kids 12 and under are free. Visit westkc.org to purchase tickets.
