SENATOR SEWARD AND HIS WIFE AFFECTED BY VIRUS

ONEONTA – State Senator James Seward of Oneonta today announced both he and his wife Cindy have tested positive for COVID-19. Senator Seward was tested at Albany Medical Center and has been hospitalized, but his office said he is expected to be released shortly. He was diagnosed with what was described as a “mild” case of the virus and is expected to make a full recovery. Seward's wife, Cindy, was tested at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, also tested positive for the virus, and is quarantined at home.

Senator Seward's Oneonta office will remain closed.
