DELHI-- The Delaware County Health Department Saturday afternoon announced it has received notice of two new confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus.
According to Heather Werner, Delaware County Public Health Programs Manager, one positive case does not reside in the county and the lab was transferred to the New York City Health Department. The second case is said to be unrelated to that case, and unrelated to the original case confirmed last week.
The county is not releasing any further information about any of the cases, and says they are under investigation in partnership with the state Department of Health and local hospitals and health care providers.
Anyone who is concerned they may have been exposed to the virus is instructed to call their health care provider for advice on appropriate steps.
