Music on the Delaware will conclude its 2024–25 Coffeehouse series at the Walton Theatre with a performance by the Coolwater Collective, a local trio blending jazz, blues, and eclectic influences. The free concert will take place Sunday, June 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the theatre’s parlor at 30 Gardiner Place.
The Coolwater Collective features vocalist and percussionist Yolanda Bush, bassist Evan Jagels, and guitarist Wyatt Ambrose — each a seasoned performer with deep ties to the region’s musical and academic communities.
Bush, a Chicago native with more than four decades of experience, draws inspiration from artists such as Etta James, Miles Davis, and Joni Mitchell. Her background spans genres and instruments, including trumpet, guitar, and choral music.
Jagels, a Lecturer and Artist in Residence at Hartwick College in Oneonta, is known for his work with Duo Extempore and the Kildeer Trio. He recently helped create a musical history of the Walton Theatre in honor of its 110th anniversary.
Ambrose, also a member of the Kildeer Trio, teaches at Hartwick and brings a wide-ranging repertoire to the ensemble, from jazz and popular music to experimental improvisation.
Desserts and drinks will be available at the event; donations welcomed.
The Coffeehouse series will resume in September.
