Sandra H. Moody, 88, of West Platner Brook, Delhi, passed away early Thursday morning, Oct. 13, 2022 at Robinson Terrace Nursing Center, Stamford.
Born May 27, 1934 in Walton, she was the daughter of the late Walter G. and Ethel (Palmer) Hoyt.
Sandra was married to Elden H. Moody who passed away in 1992.
She worked for the Delaware County ARC in Walton and assisted Elden with the operation of the family dairy farm on West Platner Brook. Sandra also was a dairy laboratory technician, working as a milk tester at several local labs. Sandy also was a 4-H leader for several years.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her children Michael Moody and Cathy McGovern, and grandson Matthew Mellott.
Sandra is survived by her daughter Karen (Robert) Mellott of Gilbertsville; daughter-in-law Annette Moody of Delhi; grandchildren Wayne, Kimberly, Donald, Cheryl and Corey; great-grandchildren Paige, Brynn, Bowen, Tasha, Azylyn, Taylor, Milo and Aubrey; great-great-grandchildren Trent, Archer, Aleczander and one due in March 2023.
Friends and relatives were invited to call Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Delhi, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today, Thursday. Burial will follow at Walton Cemetery, Walton.
