STAMFORD - The Roxbury Arts Group is inviting artists to propose installations for the front window of Headwaters Arts Center at 66 Main St. in Stamford.
Four installations will be selected for 2027, each displayed for about 10 weeks. All artistic media will be considered, and each selected artist will receive a $300 stipend.
The themes and schedule are:
• January-April: Light
• April-June: Reflection
• June-September: Lost and Found, featuring repurposed materials
• September-December: Paper
The window measures 10 feet wide, 9 feet high and 3 feet deep. Artists are responsible for installation, including providing tools and hardware. The arts group will coordinate installation schedules with selected artists.
Artwork will be promoted through social media and local news outlets.
Located among downtown Stamford’s shops and cafes, Headwaters Arts Center benefits from pedestrian and vehicle traffic along Main Street, also known as State Route 23. The center is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Artists can submit proposals through the Art Installation Proposal form, available on the Roxbury Arts Group’s Open Calls page. The organization did not specify a submission deadline in its announcement.
