Robin Drake, 89, passed away out in his home in Dexter, New Mexico, on March 26, 2025. He was born in Oneonta at home on March 15, 1936, to John and Ethelyn (Kuhn) Drake.
He graduated from Oneonta High in 1954. He drove cattle truck for Bob Tarbox, delivery truck for Coca Cola, milk truck for Mathews in Delhi, Dellwood in Delhi, and retired from Delaware County Highway Department.
He married Bonnie Gabriel Nov. 11, 1961. They had four children, John (Dianne), James, Ken (Tara), and Kelly (Jeff).
After their divorce, he married Helen Martin. They had two sons, Carl Morgenstern and Rick Drake. Helen passed away on Jan. 17, 2025.
Robbie is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law Martha Rockefeller and one sister Ellen Burdick, and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for both Helen and Robbie will be held on May 3 in the Episcopal Church on River Street, Bloomville, at 2 p.m.
