WALTON - Ed Rossley, President of the Delaware Valley Agricultural Society, gives a preview of what to expect at this year's  135th Delaware County Fair, which will be held Aug. 15 - 20 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Walton.

In addition to the  new and improved exhibits and features, Rossley notes in the video, there will be a pony rides and kangaroos.

There is also a special event on Thursday night,  Aug. 18, at  7 p.m. - the Ernie Hanselman Memorial Pull - a 10,000 pound tractor  class. "Ernie pulled with us for years and was involved with the antique clubs. His family is involved with cows and they have  given us funding for a memorial pull," Rossley announced.

The Sportsmens Federation will also showcase a full exhibit, Rossley said. "On a hot day you can go  over  and get cooled off in the shade. They have fish, wildlife and taxidermy and more," he said.

A new sponsor for this year's fair, Rossley said, is the CWC (Catskill Watershed Corporation). They will be talking about how they can help different people in the county and what they do." They will be located in the Ag Awareness area, near the end of the dairy barns, beside the milking parlor, where free milk is given away.  "We're proud to have them as a sponsor," Rossley said.
