The Andes Society for History and Culture will host lifetime postcard collector John Duda at the Hunting Tavern Museum, 288 Main Street, Andes, Sunday, July 7 at 2 p.m. Duda’s talk is in conjunction with the exhibition of Andes postcards now on display.
Duda will provide a history of postcard collecting, how to date cards, proper archival storage, different types of cards and why some cards are more collectible than others. If you have any local postcard images, bring them.
Duda is a trustee of the Greater Fleischmanns Museum of Memories and the Skene Memorial Library in Fleischmanns as well as long-time secretary of the Kaaterskill Post Card Club. The program is free and open to all.
